Install Sitecore
This blog gives brief directions for installing Sitecore with Commerce Server
Web Server Setup
The Sitecore installation is a bit more manual than usual. Extract the installation zip and do the following:
- Create a Commerce Server user in Windows
- Add the Sitecore directories (Data, Databases, Website) to the webroot location
- Give the website permissions for the Network Service, IUSR, and Commerce Server users.
IIS Setup
IIS needs the following features installed:
- .NET 4.5
- MVC
- Web Server Role
- App Pool running under the Commerce Server/Sitecore user
- 32 bit mode enabled
MongoDb
MongoDb needs to be running as a service.
SQL Server
- Ensure that SQL authentication is enabled at the server level
- Create the Sitecore user account
- Attach the Sitecore databases and assign the user account permissions
Commerce Server
- Standard Commerce Server installation
- Change the Web Services to use the Commerce Server windows account
- Run Azman to update the security permissions on the xml files in the web services
- Run the pup file to create a new Commerce Server site
- Import or create a new catalog in the Catalog Manager
